In Moldavia and Bucovina the houses are simple and surrounded by long porches on three sides; they are bigger and richer in the more economically developed areas and smaller in the poor zones.
In all Romanian houses we can find ancestral elements such as: the heating system, the dowry chest and the line or the pole which polarize the visual composition.

The Romanian architecture has a unity of conception and construction techniques, though differences of style may be found due to the variety of relief and of raw materials.

Everything is a happy combination between functionality and beauty, creating an impression of equilibrium and harmony.

Note: For tourists who have spent 3 days in our guest rooms in Starchiojd, we will, upon request, make reservations for them at lodging accommodations at friends who have guest houses in these regions.
