invite you to come and discover Romania and the traditions and daily lives of
the people as well as seeing the attractions of the Slanic salt mine, mud volcanoes,
Bran Castle (supposed home of Count Dracula), or picturesque Saxon Villages. If

Walachia Day
1: Flight to Bucharest You will be met at the airport by an English
speaking guide approved by the Ministry for Rumanian Tourism Transfer to the
small village of Starchiojd and your host family. Time to discover the village
before a homecooked meal from your hosts.
Day 2: Walachia Breakfast
Visit the local market which takes place each Sunday morning Afternoon
descent into the salt mine of Slanic (208 meters of depth) Visit a monastery Lodging
and dinner at the inhabitant with Starchiojd.

Transylvania Day
3: Discover the beautiful surroundings via a trip by horse drawn cart,
including a trip through the forests of the Carpathians mountains Visit the
medieval part of the town of Brasov Dinner with your hosts in Transylvania

Transylvania Day
4: Visit to Transylvania Breakfast Visit Bran Castle, the home of Dracula! Visit
of a Saxon village and a fortified church Crossing of the Country of Szeklers Stroll
around the Red Lake Crossing of the Throats of Bicaz (more surprising country)
Arrive in Bucovine to meet your new hosts for dinner at their home.

5: Monasteries of Bucovina Breakfast Visit the Agapia, Voronet and Humor
monasteries (the two last are UNESCO listed) Visit the craft displays. Visit
black ceramics workshop of in the village Marginea Dinner with your hosts. Day
6: Monasteries of Bucovina Visit the UNESCO listed monasteries of Sucevita
and Moldovita. See a demonstration of painted eggs by craftsmen in the village
of Moldovita. Dinner with your hosts. |  |
Day
7 : Bucovina - Walachia Visit mud volcanos (single geological phenomenon
in Romania) Visit the sculpture park in Magura Spare time or participation
in an activity suggested on the spot! Return to your hosts in Starchiojd Day
8: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport in Bucharest or to your other
travel arrangements. According to the time of your departure there may be time
for a tour of the city or a visit to the museum.

Price : 450 € / person, on a basis of 6 participants
Bookings are for a minimum group of 6 and maximum of 13. If you have less then
6 in your group please contact us for a revised price. There is also
the possibility of organising these itinaries for groups of up to 30 for Saturday
to Saturday visits. If you find our dates don't work out for you, do let
us know, we may be able to arrange something for you!
The prices
listed include: An English speaking local guide for the duration of your
stay. Transport in either a car or air-conditioned minibus depending on your
group size Transport to and from Bucharest airport Half board (breakfast
and dinner) accommodation with a local family Visits to Tranylvania and Bucovina An
excursion in a horse drawn cart. The price does not include: Entry
charges to the sites mentioned Any travelling expenses in getting from your
home country to Bucharest Mid day meals Your personal expenditure.
