Día
1: Flight to Bucharest
You will be met at the airport by an English speaking guide approved by the Ministry for Rumanian Tourism. Transfer to the small village of Starchiojd and your host family.
Time to discover the village before a homecooked meal from your hosts.
Día 2:
Walachia
Visit the salt Mine of Slanic (the largest salt mine in Europe); visit the Zamfira Monastery (the first monastery painted by the renowned Romanian painter, Nicolae Grigorescu and see the town of Ploiesti.
Lodging and dinner at the inhabitant with Starchiojd.

3: We visit the mud volcanos of Berca. On our return trip, we visit the Ciolanu Monastery and the camp of 'sculpture in stone' of Magura. Here you can hike through the lovely forest to the hermitage of the Ciolanu Monastery. |

4: Transylvania. Starchiojd - Sighisoara
Our departure begins through Carpathians by a small road to visit the famous Bran Castle, the medieval part of Brasov, a medieval Saxon town (the “Black Church”, Council Square, Piaţa Sfatului in Romanian, St. Nicholas church). We also visit the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad III the Impaler, also known as Dracula, built by the Saxons in the 12th Cent.. Sightseeing tour in Sighisoara, visit: the Citadel Clock Tower, the convered stairway with 176 steps, the Church on trop of the Hill (14th century) and the Monastery Church (15th century).
Day 5: Maramures – the land of traditions and wood churches. We visit : the famous Merry Cemetery, one of the most unique sites in Europe, the Barsana Monastery a large monastic complex comprising of several wooden buildings. In Dragomiresti we will visit The Maramures's Woman Museum.

6: Maramures
During the visit to the Mara valley they will be able to admire the most authentic villages of Maramures with very old wood houses and churches - Budesti, Calinesti, etc., some of them UNESCO heritage monuments .

7 : Botiza. Participation in a folkloric festival.

8 : Transylvania
Visit of saxon villages of Transylvania (Viscri). Viscri is one of the most beautiful villages built around a fortified church. Lodging in guest house in the neighborhood of Brasov.

9 : Breakfast. Transfer to the airport of Bucharest for your return. Depending on the hour of your departure, we can give you a city tour or simply visit the museum.
